Procurement Manager - Construction (New Construction Division)

An established construction company with over 10 years in the industry is hiring a Procurement Manager to support its New Construction Division. This is a specialized role focused entirely on procurement, purchasing, subcontractor coordination, and material flow across active construction projects.
This opportunity may also be a strong fit for Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers with hands-on experience managing procurement, vendor coordination, subcontractor buyouts, and construction purchasing responsibilities.
You will work directly with leadership and field teams to oversee procurement operations across multiple projects from pre-construction through execution.
This role requires someone with a strong construction background and technical understanding of trades, scopes, materials, and project sequencing. The company is seeking someone who can step in and contribute immediately without requiring training in construction procurement operations.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Managing procurement across multiple construction projects
- Sourcing and coordinating vendors, trades, and subcontractors based on project needs
- Working with subcontractors and vendors including electricians, plumbers, drywall, framing, glass, flooring, millwork, HVAC, and other construction trades
- Reading plans and specifications to identify scope, materials, subcontractor needs, and potential project challenges
- Creating detailed procurement proposals and budgets for Project Manager approval
- Issuing and managing RFPs/RFQs for vendors and subcontractors
- Leveling bids and negotiating pricing, scope, and terms with vendors and trades
- Overseeing subcontractor and vendor buyouts
- Purchasing building materials and coordinating all procurement activities
- Managing long-lead items and aligning procurement with project schedules
- Overseeing material logistics, delivery coordination, and timing to job sites
- Working closely with field teams to ensure procurement aligns with project execution and scheduling
- Managing vendor and subcontractor relationships while ensuring performance, pricing, quality, and delivery expectations are met
What You Bring (Required)
- Procurement experience within residential or commercial construction is required
- Strong construction knowledge and understanding of subcontractor trades, scopes, materials, and sequencing is required
- Experience sourcing and coordinating construction trades, subcontractors, and vendors is required
- Experience purchasing construction materials and managing vendor relationships is required
- Ability to read construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Experience negotiating pricing, scope, and contracts with vendors and subcontractors
- Ability to independently manage procurement responsibilities without training in construction operations or trade coordination
- Background with a General Contractor or Developer preferred
- Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers with significant procurement and buyout experience are encouraged to apply
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) preferred
