Job Description
Immediate opening for Steel Detailer / Checker with 5+ years of detailing experience in steel fabrication for the commercial construction industry. Experience REQUIRED with structural steel, stairs, rails and misc. metals.
Specific Duties
Using Advanced Steel to generate layouts and detailed shop drawings of steel fabrications such as structural steel, embeds, stairs and railings from customer specifications and drawings.
Skills/Qualifications
Working knowledge of Structural steel, embeds, stairs, rails and misc. metals on commercial construction projects.
AutoDESK/Advanced Steel detailing experience in steel fabrication, 3D modeling & BIM coordination
Familiarity with codes of construction such as: ASME, AISC, IBC, ADA, TAS
Must be familiar with welding codes and processes
Interact and collaborates professionally with Project personnel
Reviews drawings for compliance and erect-ability
