SUMMARY




Responsible for constructing and repairing wood and wallboard fixtures in compliance with local building codes and general construction principles.


Responsibilities:  




  • Set up trailers

  • You can study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information about the material type required, such as lumber or fiberboard. Measures the dimensions of the structure of the fixture to be fabricated

  • Build decks, stairs, roofs, and other temporary structures between office units, plan tables, install shelves, setup tool trailers and/or connex's, silt fences and/or straw bales, setup site per erosion control plan

  • Hand-set forms and assemble the gang forms

  • Assist journeyman and foreman with the shooting of grades and elevations

  • Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect of all pre-fabricated materials

  • Concrete and rough carpentry

    • Handset Walls

    • Footings

    • Set Gang Wall Forms

    • Structural Concrete Decks

    • Drywall

    • Finish Carpentry, doors, frames, and hardware

    • Millwork and cabinetry


  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

  • All other duties as assigned



Qualifications 




  • Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy

  • Ability to picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams

  • Strong teamwork orientation

  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills

  • Detail orientation

  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a carpenter 

  • Trade or technical school certification/diploma is a plus

  •
